Aggressive carbide shapes, increased shirttail thickness
and greater cone overhang combined with stronger cutting
structures provide longer bit life and higher ROP.
−Carbide Grades tailored for abrasive and/or hard rock
types provide decreased carbide wear and increased
fracture resistance.
−Thicker shirttails provide more bearing protection giving
greater bearing life.
−Increased cone overhang provides greater lug to hole
wall clearance. Free passage of cuttings away from bit
reduces regrind by lugs, lowers torque requirements and
yields less shirttail erosion.
